We supplied 54 pieces of these custom aerospace socket head cap screws to our long time customer.  They were made in the USA using 18-8 stainless steel material (no DFARS requirement on these) with a broached 9/64" hex socket drive with min .077" engagement depth.  1" of the overall 4.25" length under the head was threaded at 8-32.  Due to the smaller quantity required the thread was cut rather than rolled.  Material certs and a certificate of conformance was provided but no FAIR was required for this specific part.

These custom precision aluminum plates are manufactured using 6061-T6 material with plain finish, with our customer providing their own black and clear anodizing processes.  The plates are .100 +.002/-.005" in thickness and 2.5 +/- .04" in overall length.  The rivet counterbores are machined to achieve the precise dimensional requirements on the drawing, with the drilled holes .196" in diameter.  Production is typically run at approximately 30,000 pieces at a time, with FAIR, material certs, and certificate of conformance provided.

These custom steel spring washers were manufactured using high carbon steel material heat treated to 38-45 HRC with black oxide finish.  When flat, the inside diameter measures .126" and the outside diameter is at .245".  The thickness is set to .004" +/- .005" with our production parts mostly measuring around .007" in thickness.  In it's final shape the OD across the bent sides is at .231" +/- .005".  Production is typically done at 150,000 pieces at a time, which is the MOQ due to the tiny nature of this spring washer.

These custom metric button socket cap screws are made using alloy steel material at 32-36 HRC with black oxide finish.  The head diameter is 5.7MM and head height at 1.65MM, with a 2.0MM hex drive size.  The overall length underneath the head is set at 6MM, of which 2.5MM is designed to be the un-threaded shoulder.  Cold heading process was used to shape the head and the thread was rolled for optimal strength.

We supply these custom grade 5 shoulder bolts to our long time customer with recurring annual blanket purchase orders, typically with annual usage ranging between 20,000 and 25,000 pieces.  They are domestically manufactured to a grade 5 standard with commercial zinc, bake and clear chromate finish.  The shoulder measures .40" in diameter by .50" in length, with 5/16-18 thread rolled the balance of the screw.  The overall length is 1-1/4" underneath the head.

We supply these custom hex shoulder screws to our Canadian customer, with the shoulder measuring .425 +/-.002 by 1.650 +.005/-.000 in length.  5/16-18 thread was incorporated measuring .50" in length including the unthreaded portion before the rolled thread begins.  .055 radius hole was then drilled at .102" from the end of the threaded portion.

We had 10,000 pieces of these custom coupling nuts with nylon patch produced for our customer using 18-8 stainless steel material with partial internal thread.  The drilled hole depth was at 19MM max and 16MM of that depth was to be threaded.  Across the flats measures .500" and overall length at 1.5".  The undrilled side required a 45 degree chamfer resulting in a .40" diameter round base.  Nylon patch was applied at 180 degrees after the first 2 threads.

We supplied our long time medical device customer 2,500 pieces of these tricky custom stainless slotted pins.  Production was done domestically using 416 stainless steel material - the original design called out for 17-4PH stainless steel material but that was found to be unnecessary for the relatively simple application.  416 SS provided a much more cost effective and faster alternative while still providing the "spring" action required when the four petals were contracted.  10 pieces were provided out of the production batch for testing and approval before the balance was completed with the slotting process.

We had 50,000 pcs of these custom 316L socket screws produced domestically for our action sports product customer.  Our goal was to recreate a 70 degree taper on the head profile originally accomplished using a machined secondary process.  The hardness of 316L stainless steel material made this is outcome difficult to achieve using a cold heading process.  After numerous test runs and adjustments the production team was able to achieve the desired result at last.

We supply these charcoal painted truss head screws on a revolving blanket purchase order basis, with annual usage at approximately 100K pieces.  The truss head screws measure 14-10 X 1-3/4 with type A sheet metal screw thread.  The large sharp threads on these screws, combined with the large surface area of the truss head, make these parts very difficult to handle.  Without extra care in packaging, with layers of protection between every 1,000 pcs or so, the painted head gets scratched enough to cause cosmetic issues.
