We had approximately 6,000 of these custom 3/4-10 X 5 SAE J995 grade 5 socket head flat point set screws manufactured for our construction customer with zinc clear finish. Overall length was set to 4.97-5.03" and the 3/8 hex drive was cold formed to a minimum depth of .375". Lab tests were performed to confirm proof load of 85,000 psi min while maintaining core hardness of Rc 25-34. Full certs were provided with the parts.
We had approximately 150,000 pieces of these small precision 304 stainless steel dowel pins manufactured for our customer with split scheduled releases. The pins measured 2.93-3.42MM in overall length with a diameter of 2.390MM +0/-.002. Slight 0.25MM radius was applied on both sides to complete the parts. Commercial passivation was performed prior to sorting of the parts and material certs were provided with the parts, as well as our certificate of conformance.
These custom precision step pins were manufactured domestically in the USA using 303 stainless steel material per ASTM A581, with the raw material comprising of 3/16" round USA melt bar stock. The outside diameter is .031" +/- .002" for the extended pin and .125" +.0005/-.0000 for the main body. Overall length was set to .313" and a 45 degree chamfer was incorporated on both sides of the .125" diameter portion. Full certs were provided with the parts for our customer in the medical device manufacturing industry.
