These are tiered custom threaded stainless pins created for an audio equipment manufacturer in 18-8 stainless steel material. Production was done domestically with a lead time of 5-6 weeks from order. The overall length of the part is at 1.4" inclusive of .90" of M3 coarse thread and .37" of 10-32 thread. Multiple shoulder steps were incorporated per our customer's specifications and the drive-less head measures .50" for the OD and .066" for the height. The next iteration of this part will likely incorporate a thicker head and a slotted drive.
We supplied these custom length shoulder bolts to our audio device manufacturer. The shoulder bolt is essentially an off-the-shelf 1/4 X 1 shoulder bolt with 10-24 rolled thread in 18-8 stainless steel material. Our customer was unable to use this version as-is due to the combined length of threaded portion and the machined fillet preceding it. In order to make use these parts that combined length had to be at .24" +/- .01". As a relatively simple operation we ran these parts through a cut and chamfer operation to get them to the correct length. Lead time for this operation was 1-2 weeks from receipt of the off-the-shelf version.
We supplied these custom low head socket cap screws in alloy steel material with black oxide finish. Two different lengths were required by our customer - 28MM and 33MM under the head. We used COTS version of this DIN7984 socket cap screw at 35MM as the base part, then cutting and chamfering the parts to the appropriate lengths. The last step was the black oxide process - we mixed both sizes together to minimize the per piece cost to our customer.
We supplied 54 pieces of these custom aerospace socket head cap screws to our long time customer. They were made in the USA using 18-8 stainless steel material (no DFARS requirement on these) with a broached 9/64" hex socket drive with min .077" engagement depth. 1" of the overall 4.25" length under the head was threaded at 8-32. Due to the smaller quantity required the thread was cut rather than rolled. Material certs and a certificate of conformance was provided but no FAIR was required for this specific part.
These custom precision aluminum plates are manufactured using 6061-T6 material with plain finish, with our customer providing their own black and clear anodizing processes. The plates are .100 +.002/-.005" in thickness and 2.5 +/- .04" in overall length. The rivet counterbores are machined to achieve the precise dimensional requirements on the drawing, with the drilled holes .196" in diameter. Production is typically run at approximately 30,000 pieces at a time, with FAIR, material certs, and certificate of conformance provided.
These custom steel spring washers were manufactured using high carbon steel material heat treated to 38-45 HRC with black oxide finish. When flat, the inside diameter measures .126" and the outside diameter is at .245". The thickness is set to .004" +/- .005" with our production parts mostly measuring around .007" in thickness. In it's final shape the OD across the bent sides is at .231" +/- .005". Production is typically done at 150,000 pieces at a time, which is the MOQ due to the tiny nature of this spring washer.
These custom metric button socket cap screws are made using alloy steel material at 32-36 HRC with black oxide finish. The head diameter is 5.7MM and head height at 1.65MM, with a 2.0MM hex drive size. The overall length underneath the head is set at 6MM, of which 2.5MM is designed to be the un-threaded shoulder. Cold heading process was used to shape the head and the thread was rolled for optimal strength.
