Custom 316L Socket Screws - Tapered M5-0.8 X 18MM

We had 50,000 pcs of these custom 316L socket screws produced domestically for our action sports product customer.  Our goal was to recreate a 70 degree taper on the head profile originally accomplished using a machined secondary process.  The hardness of 316L stainless steel material made this is outcome difficult to achieve using a cold heading process.  After numerous test runs and adjustments the production team was able to achieve the desired result at last.

Large quantities of custom made screws like these 316L socket cap screws are best supplied on a 12 month blanket purchase order basis.  The Blanket Order concept allows the customer to access the large quantity cost savings without paying upfront for the entire large quantity order. Instead we take on the burden of carrying the bulk inventory and only release the parts as needed, or often on a pre-scheduled basis provided by the customer.
