Custom Spinning Flange Nylon Insert Lock Nuts

 

These custom spinning flange nylon insert lock nuts were manufactured to our aerospace/defense customer's dimensional requirements and Class 10 specifications with black zinc nickel finish.  The combination of free spinning flange washer and nylon insert was the trickiest part of these M12 X 1.75 custom lock nuts - typically you either have one feature or the other.  Full certs were provided with the parts.

Custom Knurled Nylon Insert Lock Nuts

 

These custom knurled nylon insert lock nuts were manufactured using SAE J995 class 8 material with zinc clear finish.  3/8-24 internal thread was incorporated with a 45 degree chamfer and a .551-.562 across the flats hex was formed over the nylon insert.  Overall length measured at .519 +/-.03" and the knurled portion measured approximately .34" in length.  This was a tricky part to tool for and to produce - it took us two sample runs to finally get everything dialed in.

Custom Glass Bead Nylon Insert (Thin Pattern) Lock Nuts

These special made thin pattern nylon insert lock nuts comprise three different sizes we sell to our long time customer on an annual blanket purchase order basis - the sizes covered are 1/4-28, 3/8-24, and 5/16-24.  The parts are made overseas with our long time trusted factory source and are put through a glass bead, aluminum oxide and oil treatment prior to further inspection and shipment to our customer.
