These are custom low head socket cap screws we supply to an offroad automotive product manufacturer.  We have a revolving blanket purchase order arrangement with next day deliveries of the parts from the individual releases.  Measuring 1/4-20 X 1 to standard IFI specifications, these low head socket cap screws are made in plain grade 5 steel material with black electroplated zinc finish for corrosion resistance.  A standard nylon thread locking patch is applied as the final part of the process to get the parts ready for use.

We supplied our customer with 3 different sizes of these large double end studs: 160 pieces of 1"-8 X 5.125" with 1-1/2" and 1-3/4" of thread lengths, 30 pieces of 3/4"-10 X 3.8125" with 1" and 1-1/4" of thread lengths, and 12 pieces of 1-1/8"-8 X 5-3/4" with 1-7/8" and 1-1/4" thread lengths.  All threaded studs were made domestically using B7 material with light oil plain finish.  One side of each double end stud was stamped with the B7 material designation.  Lead time to produce all three sizes was approximately 5 business days from order confirmation.

Custom Metric Flange Bolts - Made Using 316 Stainless Steel Material

We supplied our industrial design customer these custom metric flange bolts in two different sizes, M12-1.75 X 35MM and M12 -1.75 X 45MM.  Small batch of 100 pieces in each length was manufactured using our overseas production facility as a test run to allow our customer to test the parts in their mold application prior to a full production run.  Due to the small quantities involved, the parts were machined rather than cold or hot headed.  The machining process is much faster because it avoids lengthy and costly tooling and machinery set up, which would not be cost effective for a small run.

220 pieces of these custom stainless steel precision pins were produced domestically for our aerospace customer using 303 stainless steel material.  Original specifications on the drawing called out for 303 stainless steel per AMS 5638 but we obtained a deviation approval to provide the part using a similar AMS 5640 V Type 1A spec material instead.  Passivation per AMS 2700, method 1, type 4, class 2 was done to complete the parts prior to QC inspection.  Overall length measures at 1.131" +/-.005 and the shaft diameter is set to .074-.075".  The width of the flattened section on one end reaches a diameter of .084" +/- .005.  The other end is rounded at R .078.

We had a small quantity of 250 pieces of these custom 302 stainless compression springs produced domestically, with a lead time of approximately 8 weeks.  .030 wire size was used and the free length was set at 1.5".  Out of the 18 total coils 16 were active and the outside diameter tapered down to .22" from the max outside diameter of .34".

Custom low head metric screws manufactured domestically using 303 stainless steel material.  The 1/16 hex drive was broached with a 1.5MM drive depth.  Heavy torque blue thread locking patch was applied to conform to a .60 to .33 Nm minimum torque testing.  Head height measured 1.75MM and the width at 9.65MM.  The rounding around the edges of the head was set to R 0.020.  Production samples were provided for customer testing and approval prior to commitment to a full production run.  Lead time for production is 8-10 weeks from confirmed order.  Certificate of conformance, First Article Inspection Report, material cert, and passivation cert were required with the parts per our customer's request.
