Custom 360 Brass Alloy Precision Machined Spacers

 

These custom precision machined spacers were manufactured for our electronics customer using 360 Brass Alloy material per QQ-B-626.  The small diameter extension pin had the tightest tolerance measuring .038" +.000/-.002" while the main body diameter was set to .125" +/- .002".  Overall length of the spacer is set to .234".  Full certs were provided with the parts.  

Custom Spinning Flange Nylon Insert Lock Nuts

 

These custom spinning flange nylon insert lock nuts were manufactured to our aerospace/defense customer's dimensional requirements and Class 10 specifications with black zinc nickel finish.  The combination of free spinning flange washer and nylon insert was the trickiest part of these M12 X 1.75 custom lock nuts - typically you either have one feature or the other.  Full certs were provided with the parts.

Custom Brass Precision Machined Electronics Components

 

These custom precision machined electronics parts were manufactured for our customer using 360 Brass Alloy material.  All production was done domestically in the USA with full certs.  The larger OD was set to .280" +/-.005" and the smaller OD was set to .250" with the same tolerance.  Overall thickness was set to .050".

Custom Automotive Hex Flange Bolts

 

These custom long automotive hex flange bolts were manufactured for our customer to Grade 10.9 specifications with black zinc finish.  100MM of M13-1.75MM thread was rolled behind a 84MM unthreaded shoulder.  The flange diameter was set to 50MM and the hex above to 19MM across the flats.  Black zinc finish is good for corrosion resistance but is always cosmetically tricky due to the imperfections you get on the surface from the bake process, as well as the tumbling of large parts during packaging and transport.  

Custom Tapered Shoulder Socket Head Bolts

 

These custom tapered shoulder socket head bolts were manufactured using 4140 alloy steel material with 28-32 HRC hardness and zinc clear finish.  The shoulder diameter tapers form 0.78" down to 0.75" and the head diameter was set to 1.00 +/-.015".  Underneath the shoulder approximately .55" of 3/8-24 2A thread was rolled with thread relief allowance of roughly .085".  

Custom Drilled Hole Grade 10.9 Carriage Bolts

 

These custom carriage bolts were produced to our customer's drawing to class 10.9 characteristics with black oxide finish.  Approximately 27MM of M10-1.5MM 6G thread was rolled underneath the square shoulder and a 3MM hole was drilled through one side of the shoulder.  The square shoulder was produced to 10MM across the flats. Under the head a R45 radius was maintained to match the mating washer.

Custom Grade 5 Rounded Hex Nuts

 

These custom grade 5 hex nuts were manufactured with both sides rounded to match the mating fitting internal radius.  Production was done with cold forming process and parts were made to a 17MM across the flats dimension and an overall height of 14MM at the maximum.  M10-1.5 6H thread was tapped with a standard chamfer on each side.  Commercial zinc clear finish was run to complete the parts, with accompanying bake.  

Custom 3/8-24 Slotted Alloy Steel Lock Nuts

 

These custom slotted lock nuts were manufactured using 4140 alloy steel material heat treated to 28-32 HRC.  A 5% taper on the shoulder was required which created some difficulties in modifying the cold heading equipment to meet the required tolerances.  The outside diameter was set to 1.00" and the tapered shoulder reaches 0.75" at its minimum.  Parts were run through black oxide process as the final step in the production process.

Custom T651 Aluminum Precision Machined Anodized Washers

 

These custom precision machined washers were manufactured for our electronics customer using 6061-T651 aluminum material with a flash hard anodize finish.  The ID was set to 1.015-1.005" and OD at 1.625".  One of the corners required a R.062 machined radius and the washer thickness had to be between .125" and .135".  Full certs were provided with the parts.

Custom Socket Drive Partially Threaded Electronics Studs

 

We supplied these custom socket drive partially threaded studs to our electronics customer in 316 stainless steel material with plain finish.  A cold formed socket 3MM hex drive was incorporated on the threaded side and M6-1.0 thread was rolled to a length of 26MM.  The unthreaded side measures 19MM in length and 4MM in diameter with slightly chamfered corners.  

Custom Black Injection Molded ABS Spacer Blocks

 

These custom black injection molded parts were manufactured using recycled ABS material in black for our specialty OEM customer.  They were manually cutting sections of long rods on the production floor prior to our supply of the custom sized part to save time and overall cost for the application.  Dimensionally the parts measured .25" at square cross section and .50" in overall length, with slightly rounded edges. 

Custom Grade 8 Torx Round Head Bolts With Black Zinc

 

These custom grade 8 round head bolts were manufactured for our automotive customer to Grade 8 specification with black zinc finish.  Black zinc finish is always tricky for the grade 8 parts because it requires a bake process to limit risk of hydrogen embrittlement.  The bake process creates slight imperfections in the plating which is more apparent with the black.  The head was cold formed with T50 torx drive and the approximately 3 inches of 7/16-20 was rolled.  A .37" X .20" dog point was incorporated at the end with rounded corners.

Custom Grade 8 Automotive Countersunk Hex Flange Bolts

 

These custom grade 8 countersunk hex flange bolts were manufactured for our automotive after market manufacturing customer with zinc yellow finish.  Partial 1/2-13 thread was rolled and the length under the hex (inclusive of the countersunk portion) was set to 2-3/4".  Full certs were made available with the parts.

Custom Grade 8 Torx Flat Head Dog Point Screws

 

These custom grade 8 flat head screws were manufactured for our automotive aftermarket component manufacturing customer - the dog point was incorporated to allow for better ease of use and the finish was plain thermal black oxide.  5/16-18 thread was rolled with an overall length (including the head height) of .875".  Certs were made available upon request but no PPAP was required for this application.

Custom Grade 5 Left Hand Thread Hex Head Bolts

 

We manufactured these custom left hand thread hex head bolts for our customer to grade 5 requirements in plain thermal black oxide finish.  They measured LH 3/4-10 x 2" in length with the hex head measuring 1.100-1.125" across the flats.  Head height was set to .483-.455".  Full certs were made available with the parts.

Custom A286 Socket Head Captive Shoulder Screws

 

These custom A286 socket head captive shoulder screws were manufactured domestically with full certs and FAIR using DFARS compliant A286 material hardened to minimum ultimate tensile strength of 1100 MPA.  The captive shoulder diameter was set to 1.64mm +0/-.05, 2-56 thread length at 3.78", and overall length under the head at 9.04mm +0/-0.76.  Parts were finished with Passivation per AMS2700, Method 1, Type 2, Class 4.

Custom 416 Stainless Steel Precision Shoulder Pins

 

These custom precision machined shoulder pins were manufactured using 416 stainless steel material for our customer that manufactures scientific measurement instrumentation.  The shoulder diameter was set to .311" +/- .001 and the length under the flange is 1.175" +.002/-.000.  Flange diameter was set to .375" +.001/-.005 and the thickness at .020" +.000/-.002.  Full certs were provided with the parts per our customer's requirement.

Custom Slotted T-Bolts In 316 Stainless Steel

 

These custom slotted T-bolts were manufactured in 316 stainless steel with plain finish based on drawings we created using provided samples.  Unlike the typical slotted drive application we see these t-bolts incorporated the slot for marking/indication purposes to signal the position of the head from the back side.  Each bolt was wrapped in protective netting to avoid damage to the head and thread during transport.  

Custom Tamper-proof Security Lag Screws

 

These custom tamper proof security lag screws were manufactured using 304 stainless steel material with a 0.5" hex socket drive with a press fit security pin.  Overall length of the screw was 2.5" and the unthreaded shoulder diameter was set to .37".  3/8-7 wood screw thread was rolled to complete the parts.  

Custom Slotted Double Thread Studs

 

We supplied these custom slotted double thread studs to our furniture manufacturing customer.  Low carbon steel was used for the production with a black oxide finish.  3/8-16 thread was rolled on each side and the overall length measured at 47.60MM.  The part is similar to the hex socket drive version in alloy steel that we supply our automotive aftermarket OEM customers.

Custom Stainless M16 Precision Machined Hex Nuts

 

These custom stainless steel M16-1.5 H6 thread fit hex nuts were manufactured using 303 stainless steel material with NADCAP certified passivation.  Width across the flats was set to .75" and the thickness/height at .250".  Material certs and certificate of conformance was provided with the parts to our electronics OEM customer.

Custom Grade 8 Offroad Wheel Bolts

 

These custom grade 8 wheel bolts were manufactured for our automotive OEM customer using SAE J429 material with zinc yellow finish with post plating bake.  An 82 degree countersunk feature was incorporated into the head with cold forging with 1/2-13 UNC 2B full thread below measuring 1.25" in length.  

Custom Stainless Steel UNEF Thread Precision Hex Nuts

 

These custom 3/4-10 UNEF stainless steel hex nuts were manufactured for our electronics customer using 304 stainless steel material.  They measured .938" across the flats and .375" in height with standard chamfers on both sides.  NADCAP certified passivation was completed to complete the parts for delivery.  Full certs were available with the parts as well as a Go/NoGo plug gauge.  We ran the samples of the part twice to ensure successful testing with the thread gauges.

Custom Torx Drive Grade 5 Titanium Screws

 

We supplied our high performance bicycle manufacturing customer these custom torx drive grade 5 titanium screws as an alternative to the traditional A4-80 material option.  The titanium material version offered great weight to strength ratio and also superior cosmetic options with the variety of anodizing colors.  The screws incorporated rolled M5 coarse thread at a length of .709" underneath the head.  The drive was cold formed on these parts and the balance of the head fully machined prior to thread roll.  Full certs were available with the parts.

MS21250-02004 12-Point Flange Bolts

 

These MS21250-02004 12 point flange bolts were manufactured using domestic 8740 AMS 8322P steel material heat treated to AMS 2759/1 F AMS 2759 F to reach hardness of 40-43 HRC.  The parts were finished with CAD plating per AMS-QQ-P-416E specification, Type II Class 2.  Full certs were provided with the parts to our aerospace customer per order requirements.

Custom Oversize Brass Hex Nuts

 

These custom oversize brass hex nuts were manufactured using .661"-.669" across the flats brass bar stock material, measuring .764" across the corners.  They were tapped with 3/8-16 2B internal thread and chamfered on both sides.  The nut height was set to .500" +/-.015.  Samples were provided to our agricultural customer for testing prior to the full production order placement.

Custom Stainless Steel Torx Knurled Shoulder Screws

 

These custom stainless steel torx drive knurled shoulder screws were manufactured using 304 stainless steel material with factory passivated finish.  The shoulder measured 2.29-2.48MM X 19.05 +/- .12MM.  2-56 UNC 2A thread was incorporated at a length of 5.56 +0/-.5MM.  A T8 drive was cold formed and the outside of the head aggressively knurled for optimal finger grip.  A 180 degree nylon thread lock patch was applied over the threads to complete the production process.

Custom 440C Precision Machined Shaft Bushings

 

We had these custom 440C precision machined shaft bushings manufactured using DFARS compliant AMS 5830 material for our aerospace customer, with a passivated finish to ASTM A967.  The inside diameter on the bushings was set to .6255 +/- .0005" and outside diameter to .7528 +/-.0005", with a width of .185 +/-.002".  Full certs were provided with the parts, including a FAIR and NADCAP certified certs for all secondary processes involved in manufacturing the parts complete to print.
