Custom Aluminum Round Spacers - 4.3MM X 50MM X 9.3MM Made in the USA

We supply a large number of standard off the shelf electronics hardware but get really excited about the custom sizes for the more interesting applications.  Pictured here are one of the custom aluminum round spacers we supply a drone manufacturer, along with a smaller custom spacer and a hex standoff to be shown in our next few posts.  Made in the USA at approximately 5,000 pcs these aluminum standoffs measure 4.3MM X 50MM X 12.30MM (OD) with a tolerance of +/-.01MM.  Lead time for the initial release is typically at 6-10 weeks depending on the current work flow and seasonality.

Custom 6-Lobe Wood Screws - 316 Stainless Steel Material With Custom Shape Head

These are custom 6-lobe wood screws made in 316 stainless steel material measuring 1.888" in length +/- .005".  #10-13 thread tapping thread pitch is rolled after the custom shaped head is cold formed and T20 6-lobe drive incorporated.  Production is done domestically at approximately 50,000 pcs per run and the total quantity was provided to our customer in 2 batches with the first shipment containing 18,000 pcs.

Custom Stainless Steel Shaft Collars - 1" Stackable Mounting Collars

We supply a large number of different custom and standard off the shelf shaft collars to our long time customer base, primarily on revolving 12-month blanket purchase order basis.  These particular 1" custom stainless steel shaft collars however we supplied to our customer at just 4 pieces.  Custom made to his specifications in the USA, we were able to ship them at a relatively quick turnaround.  Depending on the material, dimensional requirements, and existing backlog the lead times can vary drastically for these parts.

Custom Machined Nylon Pins - 1/2 Inch OAL

These are custom machined nylon pins we supply our industrial OEM customer.  They are manufactured overseas with a lead time of approximately 120 days from approved drawing/print.  Overall length is set at 1/2" and the OD drops from 5/16" on one side to 3/16" on the other narrow side.  The machined convex portion measures approximately 5/16 inches in length, leaving approximately 3/16 inches on the 5/16" OD section.  Plain acetal material was used without any dye.  Annual revolving blanket purchase orders are used with monthly releases - estimated annual usage is at 60,000 pcs.

Painted Wood Screws And Painted Countersunk Washers - #8 X 1-3/4" Phil Flat Wood Screws In Steel Zinc

This photo shows the painted wood screws and painted countersunk washers together with the paneling they are used on during the assembly process.  Our customer calls this color Pacifica Grey and we supply a number of other sizes for both the wood screw and the washer in this matching color.  All the parts are supplied on revolving annual blanket purchase order basis.  While this customer uses the countersunk washers with the flat head screws, others use a modified truss head screw for the same application.

Painted Self Drilling Screws

Custom brown painted self drilling screws in 18-8 stainless steel material supplied to our long time customer at 10,000 pcs per release.  We typically stock these parts based on revolving 12 month blanket purchase order arrangements - pricing is locked in based on 100K pieces but parts are released on a monthly schedule based on our customer's seasonal need.  The sealant on the brown painted heads was set to flat sheen as our customer prefers to avoid glossier finishes.  Lead time for painted parts at these quantities is typically 3-4 weeks from the procurement of the plain version.

Custom Painted Sheet Metal Screws

These custom painted sheet metal screws are just one example out of hundreds of different fasteners we supply our existing customer base with matching paint or sand blast finish to the mating assembly component.  Typically the customer provides us a sample of this mating component for color matching purposes and then we supply samples of screws with the matching formula.  The customer also often specifically instructs us to the sheen preferred - matte, flat, semi-glossy, etc.  Once the customer approves our provided matching samples we are off to the races to get the full volume painted.

Custom M17.5 X 2 Three Piece Drain Plugs

These are custom drain plugs we supply one of our core customers on a revolving annual blanket purchase order basis.  They are supplied in 3 separate pieces that are then assembled around the paneling on assembly floor.  While a more expensive and more intricate option was made available to our customer initially, this pictured 3-piece option presented a simpler and drastically cheaper alternative while still fully satisfying the application requirements.  Initial lead time varies depending on the size required and new tooling if applicable.

Custom Extra Long Hex Bolts - Partially Threaded 3/8-16 X 14" In 307A Material With Zinc Clear Finish

These are custom extra long hex bolts we have supplied our customer for many years, with shipments of approx 20,000 pcs at a time every 2-3 years.  307A steel material is used with zinc clear finish and all parts are manufactured overseas.  1.5" to 1.688" of thread is rolled on each part and the hex head height is set to .226-.268 inches.  R0.01-0.03 underneath the head is critical for our customer's application, allowing the head to lay as flat as possible against the mating part.

Custom Metric Rolled Thread Screws - DIN912 M14 X 1.5M X 88MM Class 12.9 Alloy Steel

We have been supplying these 12.9 alloy steel custom metric rolled thread screws for over 10 years to an automotive aftermarket OEM.  The alloy steel socket head blanks are ground to a smaller diameter to allow for the M14 thread to be rolled, which is a specific requirement with our customer.  We supply these parts on a revolving annual blanket purchase order to spread out the cost for our customer and lock in better pricing.  The releases are delivered the same or next day from the initiated request.
