Custom Metric Dacromet Coated U-Bolts - M4 X 52.07MM

We had 1,100 pieces of these custom metric dacromet coated u-bolts produced using 42CrMo  material with heat treat hardening.  The part was originally designed to be made using 17-4PH stainless steel material but a number of attempts resulted in multiple failures during bending - the material was too hard and repeatedly snapped as the tool pressed the 90 degree corners.  As a result we switched to the 42CrMo material with heat treat to obtain the required hardness and strength, with a combination of the dacromet coating to achieve the corrosion resistance needed.  Turned out to be a much trickier part than originally anticipated!

Custom Small Diameter U-Bolts - 4-40 X .75" Fully Threaded Round U-Bolts In Low Carbon Steel Material

These custom small diameter u-bolts are the more unusual u bolts we have supplied over the years - the one and only time we had to get fully threaded u-bolts manufactured.  Typically only a partial length of each leg is threaded, whether cut threads or rolled, but in this case our customer specifically requested a fully threaded version.  2,000 pieces were run through a domestic production process with a lead time of 5-6 weeks.  4-40 thread was incorporated with the inside width at .57 inches and inside length at .75 inches.

Small Custom Plain Steel U-Bolts - 5/16-18 X 1.38" With Rolled Thread

This is one of our small custom plain steel u-bolts made domestically to our customer's drawing and tolerances.  Only 20 pieces were required and 5/16-18 rolled thread was requested with a .06 X 45 degree chamfer requested and undersized first two threads.  The center to center dimension was set at .81", inside length at 1.38" and thread length at .62".  Lead time was approximately 4-5 weeks since the customer was not in a rush to get the parts sooner.  Faster lead time was available in needed.

Custom Miniature Metric U Bolts - M4 X 0.7M X 15.23MM In A36 Steel Material

These are custom miniature metric u bolts we supplied to our customer at just five pieces for testing purposes before a larger production volume order is placed.  The inside width was maintained at 16MM and the straight portion of each leg was to be set at 15.34MM.  On the metric u bolts with similar inside width, this M4 diameter is typically the smallest we are able to work with.
