Custom Stainless Steel Compression Springs - 302 Stainless Steel Material Per AMS 5640

These are custom stainless steel compression springs we supply our aerospace customer, in 302 stainless steel material to AMS 5640.  The initial production run was relatively small at just 500 pieces, completed domestically with First Article Inspection Report (FAIR) and all applicable certifications.  The freestanding length of the custom spring was set at 2.472 inches +/- .010 and the outside diameter of the coil is set at .261 +/- .005 inches.

Custom Zinc Plated U-Bolts - 3/8 X 4-1/2 Round U Bolts In A36 Zinc Plated Steel Material

These are custom zinc plated u-bolts in A36 steel material with commercial zinc and clear finish.  Domestic production was run for 200 pieces on a rush basis with lead time at 7-10 business days due to the zinc plating process time required.  3/8 diameter rod was used with 2-1/2 inches of coarse thread on each leg.  The inside depth was set at 4-1/2 inches, inside width at 2-1/2 inches, and material certs were provided with the parts per our customer's request.

Blue Coated Aerospace Hardware - 1/4" Shoulder Screw In Alloy Steel With Alumazite KL-55 Blue Coating

This is an example of blue coated aerospace hardware we supply, with a 1/4 diameter shoulder screw in alloy steel coated with Alumazite KL-55 blue finish.  The blue coating was intended to allow an robotic color coded system to recognize the screw and yet maintain its integrity in environments up to 600 degrees F.  The coating is also intended to limit any risk of off-gassing and usability of the hex socket drive.  Only the head is coated to avoid the complications of having any coating on the shoulder and threaded surfaces.

Custom Zinc Plated U Bolts - 5/16 X 3-1/2 With Plates & Hex Nuts

These are custom zinc plated u bolts we supplied to our customer at 150 sets that included 2 hex nuts per u bolt and a flat plate measuring 1/8 X 2 X 3-1/4 inches.  The lead time without any rush service was at 2 weeks from order confirmation.  Material certs were provided with the parts per customer specifications.  The inside width of the u bolt was set at 2 inches, inside length at 3-1/2, and 2 inches of 5/16 coarse thread was incorporated on each leg.  The sets were delivered to the customer fully assembled as shown in the picture.

Custom Black Nylon Washers - Flat Nylon Washers Dyed Black .187/.500/.040

These are custom black nylon washers that we supply to one of our oldest customers on a recurring blanket purchase order basis.  Average annual volume it approximately 800,000 pieces and we typically maintain at least a 6 month supply on hand at all times.  Actual production time required is typically 6-7 weeks from order and the flat washers measure .187 inches on the inside diameter, .500 inches on the outside diameter, and .040 inches on the thickness.

Large Custom Double Sided Studs - Grade 8 1-1/4 X 52 Inch Overall Length

These are large custom double sides studs made using grade 8 steel material at 1-1/4 diameter and 52 inches overall length.  Each side had 6 inches of thread and a grade 8 nylon insert zinc yellow lock nut.  Production for 8 pieces took approximately 1 week.  Material certs were made available to our customer upon request.

Custom Partially Knurled Pins In Plain Steel Material - 6-32 Thread On One Side

These are custom partially knurled pins made using plain low carbon steel material.  One side is threaded at 6-32 with approximately .375 inches of thread while the other is diamond knurled at .20 inches max.  Overall length is set at .855 inches.  Production was done domestically at approximately 1,000 pieces.

Custom Grade 8 U Bolts With Rolled Thread - 1/2-13 X 8-1/2" Round U-Bolt in 4140 SAE Grade 8 Material

These are custom grade 8 u bolts made using 4140 SAE grade 8 steel material with rolled 1/2-13 thread.  The hardness was recorded at 36 HRC and tensile strength at 162 KSI.  5 pieces were made for our customer for testing purposes prior to a larger commitment.  The inside width was set at 4.76", inside length at 8.5", and approximately 1.75" of rolled thread was incorporated on both legs.  Material and heat treat certs were provided with the parts per our customer's request.

Custom Socket Shoulder Screws With Thread Locking Nylon Patch - 6-32 X .393" In Grade 2 Material With Phos Finish

These are custom socket shoulder screws made using grade 2 steel material with phos finish and a thread locking patch.  Measuring 6-32 X .393" with a shoulder at .080" and head height at .125" this custom socket shoulder screw is manufactured overseas in increments of 100,000 pieces to be released to our long time customer on an as-needed blanket purchase order basis.  Initial lead time for the first release is typically 120-150 days from order confirmation.  When needed, we can provide a print with dimensions and tolerances for the customer to approve prior to production start.

Rush Order Custom Square U Bolts - 3/8 X 9" In 304 Stainless Steel Material

These are rush order custom square u bolts made domestically using 304 stainless steel material.  We had 50 pieces manufactured for our customer at just 3 days production time to be shipped next day air directly to the job site.  Material certs and a certificate of conformance was provided per our customer's specific instruction.  The inside width was set at 4 inches, inside depth at 9 inches, with approximately 2 inches of 3/8 coarse thread on each leg.
