Custom Large Socket Cap Screws For Aerospace Applications - 1-1/4 -7 X 9 Inches In A574 Material With Black Oxide Finish

We provided 100 of these custom large socket cap screws to our aerospace customer together with custom oversize washers.  A574 material was used for these parts, with minimum tensile strength of 170,000 psi, minimum yield strength of 154,000 psi, and rockwell hardness between 37 and 45.  1-1/4 -7 class 3A thread was required and the overall length underneath the head was 9 inches.  MIL-DTL-13924 black oxide finish was done to complete the parts.  All certifications requested by our customer were provided with the parts.  Per their request the shank and threads of each socket screw had to be protected during handling and shipping.

Custom Grey Painted Rivets - 1/8 X .375 Stainless Dome Head Rivets Painted Grey

We supplied these custom grey painted rivets to our customer with 4 other similar grey and brown color.  The customer provided us paint swatches for each color to match and after our initial samples were approved we ran the stainless steel rivets through a strip process prior to painting to eliminate any risk of flaking or cracking of the paint.  The rivets themselves are fully 18-8 stainless steel, measuring 1/8 X .375", with a grip range of .188" to .250".  Lead time for a similar project is typically between 3 and 4 weeks without an expedite request.

Custom Eccentric Shafts In 431 Stainless Steel Material

We supply our customer these custom eccentric shafts on a revolving blanket purchase order basis, typically at 350 pieces required annually.  431 material per AMS 5628 material was used to manufacture these tricky parts, with heat treat, dicronite finish per AMS 2530 not to exceed .0002" in thickness.  Dimensional tolerances were very stringent on these parts, at +/- .0002" on many of the cross section diameters along the shaft.  The hex socket drive was broached with engagement to be at .175" minimum and overall drill depth not to exceed .200".

Custom 17-7PH Compression Springs - 0.125 X 1.016 Compression Springs For Aerospace Applications

These custom 17-7PH compression springs were manufactured domestically and are intended for aerospace manufacturing applications.  17-7 PH Stainless steel material per AMS 5678 was used and the parts were passivated per MIL-S-5002.  Heat treat was specificed per MIL-H-6875 and we also had to run the springs 100% through penetrant inspection in accordinace with MIL-STD-6866 Type I, Method A, Sensitivity Level 2.  Outside diameter measured .800 inches, inside diameter at .53 inches, and 3-1/2 total coils.  First Article Inspection Report (FAIR) was provided with the first batch of these compression springs per customer requirements.

Custom Machined Hex Nuts - Oversize With 3/4-10 and 5/8-11 Internal Thread

These oversize custom machined hex nuts were made domestically using plain low carbon steel material, to be used in a custom u-bolt/plate combination after all 3 items went through a zinc plating process.  Width across the flats was set at 2" for both the 3/4-10 and the 5/8-11 internal thread versions, and the height was at 3/4".  Parts were completed within 2 weeks of order, with an additional 1-2 weeks for zinc plating with the other two items.  Our internal part number for this machined hex nut is NF-075032-B.

Custom Stainless Steel Hex Standoffs - 4-40 X .615" In 18-8 Stainless Steel Material

We supplied these custom stainless steel hex standoffs to our electronics customer operating their production in New York.  18-8 stainless steel was used and the critical length dimension was set to .615" +/- .01".  #4-40 internal thread is incorporated.  Our internal part number for this item is 260-302508-001 and the lead time varies significantly depending on the quantity requested.

Custom Modified Socket Cap Screws - 2-56 X .745 With Machined Groove

In getting these custom modified socket cap screws made we started with standard off the shelf 2-56 X 3/4" socket cap screws in 18-8 stainless steel material - our customer required the length to be cut and chamfered down to .745" and a groove to be added 1/8" from the point.  The groove measured .052" to .054" in diameter and .061 to .071" in length.  Both modifications were relatively simple and we were able to get the parts ready within 2-3 weeks from purchase order placement.

Custom Painted Rivets - 1/8 Blind Rivets In Color Matched Green

Our customer requested us to match the color of the roofing material for these custom painted rivets.  The color is a shade of dark green and the customer specifically wanted us to paint both sides of the rivet - this is very unusual, with only the visible side typically painted since the blind side is never visible after the rivets are installed.  This dual application required 2 separate paint applications to accomplish the end result, with a strip process completed prior to paint to ensure there was no wax present on the surface.  Any wax present on the surface would result in flaking or peeling of the paint within days of the completed process.

Custom Vented Titanium Screws - 2-56 X 7/8 Socket Cap Screws In Grade 5 Titanium Material, Vented

We supplied these custom vented titanium screws to our aerospace customer.  Parts were made domestically in the USA using ASTM B348 Grade 5 material and measured 2-56 X 7/8".  The vent hole has a diameter of .028 inches.  Lead time for similar parts is typically 8-10 weeks but expedited options are typically available upon request.  Our internal part number for this vented screw is SC-002014-UVENT.  Material certs were provided with the parts, as well as our certificate of conformance.

Custom 316 Stainless Sealing Washers - Neoprene Bonded Sealing Washers In 316 Stainless Steel Material

We supply these custom 316 stainless sealing washers on a recurring blanket purchase order basis.  They measure 7/8" on the inside diameter, 1-1/2" on the outside diameter, and an overall nominal thickness of .101".  Dimensionally this sealing washer is relatively common in the market but only in 18-8 stainless steel or steel zinc material.  Our customer's application required the use of 316 stainless steel, which necessitated the custom production run.   We typically run production at 12,000 piece increments and release partials to our customer on an as-needed basis over the 12 month blanket period.
