Custom Modified Button Socket Screws - 18-8 Stainless Steel Material

These custom modified button socket screws were made using standard off the shelf M3 X 0.5MM button socket cap screws.  The COTS version was modified to an overall length of 7.24MM, inclusive of the head height. The dog point prior to the radius start was set at a length of .015" and diameter of .090".  At the end of that dog point section the radius was machined at R 0.075.  Lead time for a similar modified part is typically 3-4 weeks from the attainment of the COTS version.

Custom Painted Sheet Metal Screws - 18-8 Stainless Steel Material

These are 6 X 1/2 custom painted sheet metal screws that we had painted for our architectural design customer to match their custom paneling.  The darker color on the left is mixed to match the RAL 1019 brown while the lighter color on the right is formulated to match RAL 1015.  Both color screws were finished with satin sheen clear coat to create the more matte finish desired by our customer and required by their finish samples provided.  We typically run parts like this in bulk quantities and the lead time for the paint process is 3-4 weeks.

Custom Black Aluminum Spacers - 5.3MM X 80MM In 6061-T6 Aluminum Material

We had these custom black aluminum spacers manufactured for an automotive research facility using 6061-T6 aluminum material with black anodize finish.  The inside diameter measures 5.3MM and the outside diameter 13MM.  The overall length is 80MM and tolerance on all dimensions is +/- .10MM.  Production was done domestically with a relatively quick turnaround time of 4 weeks including the anodizing process.

Custom Silicon Bronze Slotted Machine Screws - 1/4-20 X 3/4 Slotted Fillister

These custom silicon bronze slotted machine screws were manufactured domestically with a fillister head diameter of 0.5".  2,000 pieces in total were produced using C65500 half hard siliconze bronze material.  Head height was set at .110 +/- .005" and the thread length underneath the head was set at .75 +/- .01".  1/4-20 thread was incorporated and the slot width was .055 +/- .01".

Custom Slotted Machine Screws For An Architectural Application

These custom slotted machine screws were made at a smaller 150 piece quantity for our architectural design customer.  They were made domestically using 18-8 stainless steel material with a relatively fast turnaround time of 2 weeks from order.  We replicated a sample part provided by our customer in the absence of a drawing.  1/4-20 thread pitch was incorporated with the thread length at 1-1/2 inches.  Our internal part number for this part is STS-1524-I.

Custom Electropolished Springs - 17-7PH Stainless Material

These custom electropolished springs are manufactured domestically for our aerospace customer using 17-7PH material per AMS 5678.  .100" +/- .001" wire diameter is used with an overall free length of 1.355".  Outside diameter is 1.069 +/- .010 and the inside diameter is set at .0869".  Parts had to be heat treated to CH900 per AMS 2759, passivated per AMS 2700 method 1 or method 2, electropolished per PPS 300 Type III, and go through magnetic particle inspection per ASTM E1444.

Custom Grade 5 Hex Cap Screws - 5/16-24 X .875 With Black Oxide Finish

We have supplied these custom grade 5 hex cap screws to our customer for well over 10 years.  The parts are manufactured domestically, with production runs typically covering 50,000 pieces at a time.  The shoulder is critical on these parts, set at .312" in diameter +/- .005" and at 1/4" in length.  Head dimensions slightly off the standard for this size and the finish is black oxide and light oil.  Together with a number of other parts we supply these custom hex cap screws through revolving annual blanket purchase orders that split up the annual usage to match our customer's seasonality.

Custom V Bolts - 5/8 Diameter In A36 Material With Yellow Zinc Finish

These are custom V bolts we had manufactured domestically for our robotics customer.  A36 steel material was used with zinc yellow and bake finish process.  5/8-11 thread was incorporated on both legs, at 2 inches in length.  Center to center inside width was set at 4-1/2 inches, with the inside length set at 5.88 inches.  The inside angle at the V was set to 90 degrees.

Custom .250 Wire Compression Springs - 17-7 Stainless Steel Material

We supplied 100 pieces of these 2.87" free length custom .250 wire compression springs to our aerospace customer with a first article inspection report (FAIR), MIL-STD-6866 dye penetrant inspection report (Type 1, Method A, Sensitivity Level 3), heat treat certs, and a certificate of conformance.  The outside diameter is 1.218 +/- .010" and the inside diameter is .718".  Heat treat was done to condition CH900 per MIL-H-6875.  Production was done domestically with a rush option to help our customer get out of a timing jam.

Custom Large Square Washers - 3" X 3" In A36 Material

A washer the size of these custom large square washers is typically destined for construction applications so we were surprised to get a request to get them made by our aerospace customer.  200 pieces were manufactured domestically measuring 3" by 3" by .5" thickness, using A36 steel material with zinc plating per ASTM B633, SC2, Type 1.  The inside opening had to be machined to a diameter of 1.06" +/- .01".  All sharp edges had to be broken to .010-.030".  Certifications for the material characteristics and the zinc plating was provided with the parts.
